(الطهارة) مصدر ” طهر ” بضم العين وفتحها، والاسم الطهر بالضم (وهي لغة النظافة) والنزاهة من الادناس. (وشرعا) – بناء على ثبوت الحقائق الشرعية  -(استعمال طهور مشروط بالنية). فالاستعمال بمنزلة الجنس، والطهور مبالغة في الطاهر، والمراد منه هنا “الطاهر في نفسه المطهر لغيره” جعل بحسب الاستعمال متعديا وإن كان بحسب الوضع اللغوي لازما، كالاكول.

(Ṭahārah) is the verbal noun of [the verb] Ṭahura, with a Ḍammah on the ‘Ayn and a Fatḥa, and its noun is Ṭuhr with a Ḍammah (linguistically is cleanliness) and free from dirtiness (and legally) on the presumption that legal veritative exist (using a Ṭuhūr conditioned to an intention). The word “using” is like the genus, and Ṭuhūr is a hyperbolic participle for Ṭāhir, and what is meant here is something that is pure itself and a purifier for another. It has been used as a transitive even though its original linguistic coinage is intransitive, like the word Akūl.
