Sheikh Bahāʾī (r) has a commentary on al-Ṣaḥīfah al-Sajjādiyyah, titled Ḥadāʾiq al-Ṣāliḥīn. In this work, he gave each prayer a specific title relevant to its occasion. For example, al-Ḥadīqah al-Hilāliyyah relates to the commentary on the prayer of sighting the new moon from al-Ṣaḥīfah, and so on. He mentioned five gardens, but only the Hilāliyyah one is available. He also stated he would explain the sixth (al-Ḥadīqah al-Ṣawmiyyah), and makes the following references:
- al-Ḥadīqah al-Taḥmīdiyyah: The discussion on gratitude was previously covered in al-Ḥadīqah al-Taḥmīdiyyah, which is the commentary on the first prayer of this noble book.
- Garden of the Prayer for Seeking Well-being: The discussion on this was previously covered in the twenty-third garden, which is the commentary on his (a) prayer for seeking well-being.
- Garden of the Prayer for Seeking Repentance: The related discussions were covered in the thirty-first garden, which is the commentary on his (a) prayer for seeking repentance.
- al-Ḥadīqah al-Akhlāqiyyah: We previously covered this in al-Ḥadīqah al-Akhlāqiyyah, which is the twentieth garden, in the commentary on his (a) prayer for noble character, discussing what helps to avoid these afflictions.
- al-Ḥadīqah al-Hilāliyyah: This is the forty-third garden of our book titled Ḥadāʾiq al-Ṣāliḥīn in the commentary on the Ṣaḥīfah of our master and Imam, the Qiblah of the people of truth and certainty, Ali ibn al-Husayn Zayn al-ʿĀbidīn (a). It includes the commentary on the forty-third prayer, which is his (a) prayer at the sighting of the new moon.
- al-Ḥadīqah al-Ṣawmiyyah: The compilation of al-Ḥadīqah al-Hilāliyyah from the book Ḥadāʾiq al-Ṣāliḥīn has been completed, followed by the help of God, the compilation of al-Ḥadīqah al-Ṣawmiyyah, which is the commentary on his (a) prayer at the beginning of the month of Ramadan. The compilation was completed in the western side of Dar al-Salam, Baghdad, in the sacred and purified shrine of al-Kazim (a) in early Jumada al-Thani, year 1003 AH.”
After a week of effort in research and investigation, I came across the manuscript of al-Ḥadīqah al-Taḥmīdiyyah. It is complete and beautifully written, with the title written in a difficult script: Sharḥ Ṣaḥīfah ʿĀmilī. It includes the commentary on the first prayer of al-Ṣaḥīfah al-Sajjādiyyah, which is a praise and glorification of Allah Almighty. It should be noted that there is one copy in Iran that has not been given attention. The book has not been printed in Shaykh Bahāʾī’s collection, has not been mentioned therein, and has not even been noticed. This contradicts the inference of Sayyid Ali Khan al-Madani that only the al-Ḥadīqah al-Hilāliyyah was authored. The manuscript was written during the lifetime of the author (r). I ask Allah Almighty to help find the rest of his gardens and make me among the righteous.
