Covid-19: An Online Discussion

Panelists:
- Sayyid Ali is finishing his 8th year of studies in Qom. He is currently doing a Masters in Islamic Philosophy and as well as attending advance classes in Fiqh and Usul. He is also the founder of Iqra Online.
- Syed Hadi started his hawzah studies in the UK alongside his bachelor’s degree in 2007. From 2009-2017 he moved abroad to continue his hawzah studies in Qom, Iran. On his return to the UK, he joined Hawza Ilmiyya of England as a lecturer for 2 years and has recently relocated to the USA.
- Saiyid Hasan obtained a BA in Political Science from Rutgers University in NJ, USA. Thereafter, he began his hawzah studies first at the Imam Ali Seminary in Orlando, FL from 2010-2012 and then continued in Qum from 2014-2020. His subjects of interest include Islamic Philosophy, Mysticism, Spiritual Psychology, Education, and Parenting.
- Sadiq Meghje is in his 5th year of studies in Qom, currently finishing his Bachelor’s degree with a focus on Fiqh, Usul and Philosophy.
Sayyid Ali studied in the seminary of Qom from 2012 to 2021, while also concurrently obtaining a M.A in Islamic Studies from the Islamic College of London in 2018. In the seminary he engaged in the study of legal theory, jurisprudence and philosophy, eventually attending the advanced kharij of Usul and Fiqh in 2018. He is currently completing his Masters of Education at the University of Toronto and is the head of a private faith-based school in Toronto, as well as an instructor at the Mizan Institute and Mufid Seminary.
