In Hadith #3 the Prophet (p) says: Be aware, Rajab is the month of Allah, and Sha’bān is my month and Ramaḍān is the month of my nation. So one who fasts any day in Rajab out of belief and for seeking proximity to Allah, they become deserving of the greatest blessings of Allah. The fast of that person would end the anger of Allah upon him; a door of Hell would be closed for him. The reward of this fast with pure intention is better than them being given the earth filled with gold as charity. No object in this world can make his reward complete except these rewards in this world and the hereafter. As soon as night falls, Allah would fulfill his ten wishes. If he prays for worldly life his prayers would be accepted, or else Allah will save for him the best of that which His (swt) friends, lovers and chosen people pray for.
This is a mind-blowing narration, and it shows the extent of Allah’s mercy upon us and His favours. For just a simple recommended fast in the month of Rajab these are all the rewards that He will bestow upon us, why should we not benefit from this opportunity? Furthermore, these fasts also allow for our Du’as and supplications to be accepted much more easily.
